INTRODUCE YOUR SELF:
What’s up everyone!? I’m Sheldon Hill but many call me by my nickname (shellz) which started back when I was in High School.
So feel free to call me that, haha. I’ve been into photography for quite some years but really haven’t committed to it until 2018. Im a 28 years old portrait photographer from Suffolk, Virginia.
I planned my first photoshoot with my friend Jocelyn back in January 2018 when I had first bought my 85mm f1.8 usm lens that I was dying to use haha. That photoshoot actually turned out great and that’s when I thought about taking photography serious.
WHY ARE YOU A CREATIVE?
I love shooting and editing my subject in a way that represent my style. I could spend loads of time in Lightroom just trying to create that perfect preset!
When I’m out on location, there’s times where I’m challenged by a location that I end up not feeling, but I will end up making the best out of it to create shots that both of us would love and that’s what matter!
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE CREATIVE PROJECTS?
I love portrait photography with a bit of fashion along with it.
WHAT ARE SOME STRUGGLES THAT YOU'VE HAD IN YOUR BUSINESS LATELY?
I haven’t had any struggles. I’m actually now trying to focus on launching my website
WHAT ARE SOME WAYS THAT YOU HAVE FOUND TO OVERCOME YOUR OBSTACLES?
I’m at the point in photography where this something I really enjoy. It’s fun and I also enjoy meeting new people along the way.
HOW HAS RENT A SET HELPED YOUR BUSINESS?
I’ve been here once for a photography meet with models and other photographers who all love what they do. I first knew about this place when I ran into Kersey Devon from instagram.
There was an event taking place so I thought it be a great place to meet new people and enjoy the beautiful lighting that they have available!
I knew a little about off camera flash and lighting before attending this event but Kersey made sure that I was all set to capture great shots that evening. Rent A Set has help me gain confidence with using indoor lighting. I will definitely be back in here for indoor photoshoot really soon!
